The Illinois Red Cross will be holding a blood drive across all of the “Bowling and Billiards” locations throughout the state. This blood drive is being held to bring awareness to fatal conditions that require blood transfusions, this not coming as a surprise as it is the National Sickle Cell Awareness Month in the United States of America. Sickle Cell is a fatal disease that makes blood cells mutate and become disc-shaped which in return can cause issues with clogged arteries, blocked blood vessels, chronic pain or anemia.
The Illinois Red Cross has been asking their citizens who are eligible to donate blood to do so, this ensuring that they will have a sufficient amount of blood supply that is diverse enough to cater towards their millions of citizens.
Along with this blood drive there will also be fun and games available for people to enjoy at the Bowling & Billiards establishments. You will be able to bowl or play billiards for free and outside of the establishments there will be various venders selling their products, all money earned will be donated to the Illinois Red Cross. All around this will be an incredible event that is sure to bring prosperity to the Illinois Red Cross.
If you wish to participate in the “Bowling & Billiards Illinois Red Cross Blood Drive” then you will be able to do so by going to one of the Bowling & Billiards locations across the state of Illinois on September 5th, 2014 from 10 A.M to 4 P.M.
